Come to Media Lounge and try some animation! Elina Beekmann, an animation expert from Estonian Academy of Arts has specialized in stop motion animation. If you are interested in animation come to visit Elina in Media Lounge. You don’t need any skills in advance, just the enthusiasm to learn something new!

Games

Media Lounge is (almost) all about fun and games. We have a lot of board games which appeal even to the hardcore gamers, like Puerto Rico, Ticket to Ride Europe, Carcassonne and Lord of the Rings Confrontation deluxe. Naturally we have games for kids as well, like Afrikan Tähti, Kimble, Scrabble and Alphabet. We also have Nintendo Wii with Wii Sports, Wii Fit Plus and Super Mario Kart. For XBOX 360 we have FIFA 2009, Mortal Kombat, Rock Band 2 and Dancing Stage Universe. You can come and play usually whenever Media Lounge is open. Come and play!

Music

Media Lounge simply rocks. In charge of the music division are two internationally acclaimed musicians, Harri Pikka and Niilo Sevänen. Young local bands can come to Media Lounge to record a demo or shoot a music video – for free. If you want  to become a better composer or lyricist, if you want your band to rock like a moose, if you want to know how to succeed in music business, come to Media Lounge. We also collaborate with the music classes of second level schools. Come and join the fun!

Media Lounge stands bravely in frontline when it comes to fighting for books and reading. Creative writing summer course 2009 was a success and more is to come. If you are a young writer and feel you need advice or feedback on your work don’t hesitate to contact us! This service is available in Finnish and English.

Video production and image processing are some of Media Lounge’s greatest assets. We have a wide range of premium quality video cameras and top-notch editing software at our disposal. Our professional staff will aid the customers in using the gear and the programs. We carry out many kind of projects together with the second level schools and offer lessons in video production and image processing.
